It has been… what, nine months? Nine months since I’ve updated this, hello! As you might have guessed life has done what it does best and basically just beat me into the dirt with work! I have most certainly been working on projects but very much at MY pace. Expect me to keep doing that, as I am beholden only to myself and my deadlines. In the meantime, you can support me by buying my games at a steep 50% sale price this Summer Sale.
THINGS I’VE MADE
Mostly small things, things that don’t take too much of my brainpower to exert. This includes a few short stories which were released in that time period, which always delights me because I love to write fiction as well.
How Dare Ye! - A table of nautical insults for whatever game you wish, though it was originally designed for the Pirate Borg Cabin Fever jam.
Fickle Foes - A bestiary of Trophy RPG compatible creatures, usable with either Gold or Dark. They’re all based on creatures or concepts from literature and folklore, because I’m an unoriginal hack, but they should slot into any Trophy scenario as easy as you please.
Middle School Syndrome - Based on the idea of a chuunibyou given true power to the consternation of her older party, published with Daikaijuzine.
The Mirror Game - Originally published at perhappened mag, this is a story in two halves written as a set of instructions. Comes with plain text if you’d like to read the whole thing through.
THINGS I’VE BEEN PART OF
Note that this isn’t everything that I have DONE in the past nine months - just the stuff that has been published/I can talk about. Because there’s a lot I can’t talk about just yet, which is annoying. Eventually, though!
Paizo’s Howl of the Wild for Pathfinder - The big one! I did some writing for Howl of the Wild, specifically the origin story of our Merfolk Navigator Lythea and the peaceful Thunder Snake. Lythea is my baby and I adore what everyone else did with her in the book’s fiction
gothHoblin’s Grimoire, “Dying of the Light” - I wrote this short fiction based on the idea of elemental magic and the witches who have deep rooted connections with them. Honestly, I’d love to write more fiction on spec - just need to figure out how to do novels…
Dark Waters Vol. 1, “Polyptych of an Invisible Boy” - A more mundane horror than I usually write, it follows a misanthropic young man, the new girl in school, and the relationship between them.
Tangled Blessings, Dahlia House Prompts - I do love magical schools and unsettling horror. Can’t say much more without spoiling the surprise but you’ll find there are secrets you might have preferred to keep buried…
THINGS I’M WORKING ON
I have bigger games and bigger pieces that I am brewing up, both for myself and at various places to publish. I’ll keep this updated the best that I can.
Pequod - A genderflipped Moby Dick in space, and a novel that I hope to actually complete.
Deeply Screwed - Dark Souls meets Goblin Quest! Take your band of weird little freaks on a journey through a terrible world to try and make your mark. I’m maybe a solid fourth through the text? It is a chunky, chunky boy.
Party Like The World Is Ending - My Apocalypse Keys campaign! The first mystery is written, and the next three uh… they come out when they come out. I will try to carve out more time to get those actually written, hopefully by next month.
My Far Horizons project which is radically fun punk and, I hope, slated to go to digital and print in the next few months once final edits, layout, and art are in!
1-2 Crowdfunded projects which will either start late this year or early next year, all things being hopeful.
A number of secret projects, as I mentioned ^^
Too many small fictions and games to count. Like, literally, there are so many which need to be text done, put into layout or submitted to places to publish.
